SDV III: Responsibility for AI in Cars

Draft: Neither the schedule nor the content has been decided. The sessions may change.

Consider how to divide responsibility, and how to make a business work, when a car carries AI that behaves in probabilities. Designed as training for working professionals, it runs as six 3-hour sessions (twelve 90-minute sessions), with practice in your own work between sessions. Using one AI feature from your own organization throughout, you will study how much to hand over, where responsibility shifts, combining smart control with simple safety control, how to stop and what to record, data, and insurance and warranties. Finally, you will write an adoption decision for that feature, whether to adopt it, adopt it with conditions or hold off, with your reasons. For students, a smaller version is offered.
